Experience
Owned and operated several successful businesses over a thirty year period.
Did original research across the country, New York to Seattle, and published pioneer reference works on Depression glass and doll collecting.
Ten books of non-fiction published, 1969-1994, all but one now out of print since 2001.
Owned and operated a doll shop and mail order business in North Kansas City, Missouri for six years.
Published couple of hundred magazine articles and two long-running newspaper columns.
Established Athena Publications in 1974, sold to American Broadcasting Company in 1976 in one of their diversification moves. (Athena published books on various collectibles.)
“Retired” to Florida in 1984.Owned and operated an antiques shop there, plus doing 34 antiques shows a year. (Returned to Kansas City in 1995.)
Began writing fiction in 1996; sold two short stories to magazines; decided I’d rather write books.
Original artwork published in magazines, as convention souvenirs, and for catalogs.
Small business selling my artwork direct via internet and shows
Organized and managed national collectors’ conventions.
Worked as Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader for ten years.
Taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for more years than I can remember.
