Barb Stuber Snags an Agent!

Congratulations, Barb Stuber! Barb is now represented by Ginger Knowlton of Curtis Brown, Ltd. for her young adult novel, CROSSING THE TRACKS…

Iris Baldwin discovers that a true family is the folks you are willing to risk your life for. At fifteen she becomes a hobo of sorts – no home, no family, no plan, when her father decides his shoe business is more important than his daughter. He hires her out as a housekeeper and companion to a country doctor’s elderly, arthritic mother. Stuck in the middle of 1920s’ rural Missouri, Iris cultivates an eccentric cast of folks into the family she never had and cautiously opens herself to love. But when she discovers that a neighboring tenant farmer named Cecil Deets has had more than his hands on his pregnant daughter, Iris devises a plan  to save the girl and her unborn baby. When Cecil’s wandering eye becomes locked on Iris she must find the guts and cunning to take aim at the devil incarnate and save herself.

Well done, Barb! Curtis Brown, Ltd. is  a New York based literary agency that has been representing writers since 1914.
